  1. This part of the book was a little more exciting than the previous part. I felt as if I got to know Gemma and Ty and lot better than I did before. When Ty told Gemma about how he knew all about her, I was not surprised when he denied being obsessed with her, which is a topic that both Gemma and I would beg to differ with him on. Anyone who will watch a girl almost everyday for six years has to be obsessed with them because I know that no one in their right mind would do that. If I were Gemma, I would not have taken it well when Ty seemed to know more about her life than she did. Clearly, she did not take this well because she became very angry and frustrated, and she was obviously freaked out by the fact they he was stalking her, which I completely understand. Figuring out all about Ty's life was a little unexpected in my opinion. I thought that he would not be so open with Gemma, but I guess that he was trying to be open with her, so that she knew that he trusted her and that she could trust him in return. Later on, I found it ironic that whenever Ty was about to hurt Gemma and lose his temper, he tried to control it and walk away. Most kidnappers would probably attack Gemma and try to kill her, atleast from the stories I have seen on television and in movies. For some reason, I have a wierd feeling that this book is going to turn into some cheesy love story because I really do believe that Ty loves Gemma. This book is truly unlike any other mystery/murdering/kidnapping book that I have ever read, and I like the change. I have grown to enjoy this author's writing because she shows magnificent imagery and feelings. For example, when Gemma and Ty are traveling in the desert, she describes it all so well, such as, "When I finally opened my eyes, all I could see was sky: bright blue, cloudless sky, with a large bird circling it." I found this imagery very meaningful because I could picture this exact image in my mind, and I felt as if I was there with Gemma and Ty. Another time that I found strong imagery was when Gemma was in the car with Ty; I felt as if I was in the back seat and could see, hear, and feel everything they did. In summary, I am interested to see what the author has in store for us throughout the rest of the book.
