The setting of where Gemma is taken when she is kidnapped by Ty is in the middle of nowhere in an Australian desert. Ty calls it both the Wilderness and the Sandy desert, and it has so many characterisitcs of a desert. I am very suprised that Ty found a way to get water to the home. Surpisingly, Gemma found vegetation past the boulders. If I were her, I would have stayed there in hope of water and food because if there were animals around they would have to find those necessities somewhere. In conclusion, I think that this desert will have many more surprises to come.
